In a recent article I read in Vows a bridal trade magazine about percentages of brides and the knowledge that they have when they begin to shop for wedding gowns. The numbers were interesting and some were amazing to be being in the business for five years now. I think you will to so here goes.
Nearly 30% of brides buy a dress 100+ miles away from home.
More than 1 in 10 brides don't know the main dress fabric.
12% of brides had an additional dress for their wedding.
56% of brides will have the gown professionally preserved. (We sell kits for this :) )
59% of brides say their dress ended up being exactly or close to what they had envisioned. 29% say it was totally different.
